China becomes number one fruit and veg export market for Vietnam

According to the Vietnam Economic Paper the export value of Vietnamese fruit and vegetables was 790 million USD in the period from January 1st to March 15th. The accumulated export value in the first three months is estimated at 900 million USD, which is an increase of 33% in comparison with the same period in 2017, when the export value was 700 million USD. The market prospects look good, so many entrepreneurs believe that it is possible to reach the goal set by the agricultural industry and the Bureau of Agricultural Development. That goal is to have a fruit and vegetable export value of 4.5 billion USD by 2020. The 10 largest export markets for Vietnamese fruit and vegetables are as follows: China, the USA, Japan, South Korea, Thailand, Malaysia, the Netherlands, United Arab Emirates, Singapore, and Russia.
