On December 18th, the China Fruit Marketing Association, the Agricultural Guild of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, and the municipal government of Liaozhou jointly opened with great ceremony the 2017 session of China's citrus industry, as well as the meeting for production and marketing integration in Liuzhou's citrus industry.
President of the Fruit Association, Lu Fangxiao, deputy-commissioner of the Agricultural Guild, Xie Dong, deputy director of the municipal government, Liang Liang, and deputy mayor of Liaozhou, Zhang Jianguo, all attended the opening ceremony. In addition, invitations were sent to over 500 colleagues from such institutions as Hunan Agricultural University, Shenzhen Pagoda, benlai.com, and Joy Wing Mau. Liaozhou's citrus industry booked positive results in 2017. The total area of the citrus industry is estimated at 56,667 hectares, with a total output of 790 thousand tons. The citrus industry accounts for more than 80% of the total area and total output of Liaozhou's fruit industry.
