Thai coconut ice cream an upcoming culinary trend in Canada

Recently, Thai coconut ice cream has become increasingly popular in Canada. More and more foreigners are enjoying this ice cream without cow's milk, with its new taste. North America is becoming more accepting of coconut products. No matter if it is coconut water, coconut milk cakes, or using coconut in soap, shampoos and body lotions; their popularity is growing enormously. Even though the annual consumption of ice cream in Canada, America and Europe has dropped from 7.7 liters per person in 2008 to 6.8 liters in 2016, the ice cream consumption is starting to increase again. Especially the Canadian ice cream market, that is now worth over 284 million dollar. When adding other frozen sweet products, such as frozen yogurt and sorbets, the total value reaches 409 million dollar.
