China: Durian transport successful for the first time

On 15 June at 07:52 am, flight SC4076 from Bangkok to Ji'nan slowly landed at Ji'nan airport. Ten boxes of durian fruit were unloaded from its cargo onto pallets. Through inspection on the spot, it appeared that the boxes were intact, and that the cargo hold had just a slightly different smell. The passenger cabin was not smelling differently at all. This is the first time that durian fruit has been transported successfully. These are the first Thai durians to arrive on the Shandong market via air transport, filling in a market gap.
