After reaching the mainland in Hong Kong, the durian fruits were transported to Beijing. Here they were tasted by the deputies of the People's Congress in Beijing at the weekend. In the past few years, Malaysia has had the constant hope that fresh durians could be exported to China. It is predicted that it will actually become possible to bring fresh durian fruits to China, complete with peel, from next year onward.
