Biennial Asparagus Conference to take place on July 18th

Planning is now well underway for the forthcoming Biennial Asparagus Conference (formerly known as the Asparagus Agronomy Day).

During the morning we have an excellent line up of speakers, our key note speaker is Professor Dan Drost, Extension Vegetable Specialist. His research efforts have focused on vegetable crops with an emphasis on water use, nutrition, sustainable systems, and alternative crops. Dan Drost will be focusing on root and soil structure at the event.

In the afternoon delegates will be divided in to groups to take part in a variety of field workshops and viewing of new machinery for specific use on the asparagus crop.

There will be a trade exhibition alongside the presentations, with ample time throughout the day for delegates to talk to related trade companies.
