Giumarra hires two new employees to develop Eastern business

The Giumarra Companies announces the addition of two new hires to its eastern sales force, Stu Monaghan and Rob Campbell. Mr. Monaghan joins as division manager of Giumarra Southeast and Mr. Campbell joins as director of sales for the Giumarra International Berry East Coast operation.

“We are pleased to bring Stu and Rob on board to help develop our East Coast customer and grower bases,” says John Corsaro, CEO for Giumarra. “They each bring robust experience and demonstrated leadership in the produce industry.”

Mr. Monaghan comes to Giumarra from Seald Sweet, where he served as sales director. Prior to Seald Sweet, he was employed with DNE World Fruit in various management roles. His nearly 30 years of produce industry experience will benefit his new responsibilities for overseeing the Giumarra Southeast division, including staffing, finances, grower relations, and sales. He will be based in Vero Beach, Florida.

“I am honored that Giumarra Companies has chosen me to lead the southeastern division,” says Mr. Monaghan. “Giumarra is known throughout our industry as a marketing leader across multiple commodities while maintaining close partnerships with the top growers in the United States and abroad. I am excited to develop new programs and to lead our team as we expand our business nationally.”

Mr. Campbell was previously employed with Giumarra during 2006-2010 and rejoins the company from the Oppenheimer Group, where he specialized in berry sales. He will be based in Giumarra’s Avondale, Pennsylvania office and will oversee East Coast sales for the company’s berry program.

“Rob’s demonstrated sales success in the berry category will be of huge value for our business,” says Tom Richardson, V.P. global development for Giumarra. “Additionally, his communicative management style and strong business acumen make him well positioned for success.”

Both hires joined Giumarra in early 2017.
