JBT to showcase new machinery at Fruit Logistica
JBT business development manager, John Siddle, said: “Our booth is focused on our fresh produce technologies, specifically the preservation products, coatings, cleaners, fungicides and other solutions that help get fresh produce from point A to point B in as good as condition as possible. We will also be bringing along our G3 labeler, which we intend to have CE certified this year.”
JBT’s participation in the latest edition of Fruit Logistica follows two years of steady progress in the global fresh produce sector for the company, including expansion into new markets and the signing of a major deal in the US.
“We’re a growing business,” said Siddle. “We’ve been growing our market share for the last couple of years. We’ve made recent forays into Europe, the Middle East and North Africa, and we also just gained the 'Wonderful Citrus' business in the US, which is significant for us because they are the largest citrus packer in the world.”
JBT will also once again be highlighting partner, Laser Food’s, Laser Mark labeling system for fresh fruits and vegetables. The technology is set to be used by Swedish supermarket operator ICA – in conjunction with organic fresh produce specialist Eosta – to laser label organic avocados and sweet potatoes. JBT will be exhibiting at Hall 6.1, B-02 at Fruit Logistica 2017.
