Willem Dijk AGF expands its warehouse and offices

In recent years, Willem Dijk AGF has outgrown its capacity. The company could no longer cope with the growth with its current facilities and has therefore undergone a major expansion of its warehouse and offices. So far, the growth had been taken care of with internal organizational changes and the setting up of racking and storage shelves. In 2015, Willem Dijk AGF recorded a 10% growth which has continued in 2016, so the current facilities can just no longer cope.

Renovation in two stages
The new office complex will be built first; when this first stage is completed, the office will be moving and the current old office will be demolished (stage two), followed by an expansion of the warehouse with another 1,250 square metres. This cold room will serve as entry of goods with two additional new loading docks. Unlike the current building (7 metres high), the new building will be 11 metres high so that three levels of pallets can be stacked in a flow rack.

Preparations started in early 2016 and the permit was granted in late December. On 31 January, the renovation will start and should be completed by August. The main contractor is Lonnekerburg Bouw & Advies and the architect is Beltman, both from Enschede.
