New company in Murcia dealing with bad weather

Gregory Struyve owns the export company GST Export, in Murcia, Spain. He focuses mainly on exporting fruits and vegetables to his customers in France, England, Belgium and the rest of Europe.

Gregory has big plans for his new company and believes he can get even more new customers who will buy from his export firm. Rather than specializing in specific products, he focuses on Spanish produce, exporting mainly vegetables and some fruits. “I have good contacts with people in the business, friends in Italy,” Gregory said. “I am in Murcia so I can check the product and its quality, in the country of origin.”

“I changed my job because I am 40 years old with 15 years of experience, I want to have new targets in my life,” shared Gregory. “I’m working alone at the moment, but I have good relationships with customers and providers, selling fruits and vegetables.”

Extreme weather
“Right now, we have extreme weather conditions in Spain. We got snow last week in Murcia. That is something very strange, it rarely happens. For this reason, It is even more important to explain to customers that they need somebody in Spain to check the quality of the produce they are buying.”

“You have to manage the providers. Work one-on-one with them. Connect a supplier - a customer - and retain the relationship.”
