New smartphone can detect strawberry sweetness
The sensor was crowd-funded on Kickstarter a few years ago and is now heading into full retail, now that it has shrunk enough to fit into smartphones. A writer at the Verge had the chance to test the new smartphone sensor and while skeptical at first he found that it had accurately detected the sweetest strawberries out of the bunch. The phone will see release first in China and a release in the United states is planned to follow.
