It was recently announced, by the Australian macadamia association, that the output of Australian macadamia nuts has broken the record for a second successive year. The total output of Australian macadamia in-shell, has reached fifty-two thousand tons (humidity10%). This number is slightly higher than the initial prediction of 50 thousand tons, and it has increased 8% over the last year. The nutlet output remains the same as last year - about ten thousand, five hundred tons.

The output in the Bundaberg area ranked first in the country for the first time in history, with around 40% of total production.

The industry personnel revealed that the demands for Australian macadamia nutlets and shelled Australian macadamia are still in staggering growth.
