Shoppers impulse buy more fresh fruit than alcohol

New research conducted by IGD in Europe and funded by iTradeNetwork has revealed surprising but good news. In their study, they collected responses from customers across supermarkets, convenience, and discount stores, and asked questions regarding shopper attitudes and opinions with regards to shopping for fresh produce.

A few key findings from the research found that shoppers are visiting stores more than ever and 36% reported they would likely change their store of choice based on whether the supermarket has their favorite fruit. Customers purchasing fresh fruit and vegetables were also more likely to impulse buy fresh fruit (16%) than alcohol (11%).
