Turkish kiwifruit from Ordu to become a brand

The Local Food, Agriculture and Livestock Minister in Ordu, on Turkey’s Black Sea coast, Kemal Yılmaz, reported that they had submitted a trademark application for the “Ordu Kiwifruit”.

The local kiwifruit is already considered as a brand in the region.

“Ordu is the second biggest kiwifruit producer in Turkey, after Yalova. We have a capacity to produce 10,000 tons, with a dedicated area of 300 ha. The feedback from our buyers is that the Ordu Kiwifruit has a distinct flavor and quality, as well as a particularly long shelf life,” added Yılmaz.
