New owner at one of the largest persimmons farms in Australia
Mary Valley Orchards is one the biggest sweet-seedless persimmon growers in Australia, located 2 hours north of Brisbane. After 12 years of building Mary Valley Orchards to be a sustainable biological and biodynamic orchard, Heinz and Angela Gugger decided that it is time for a change.
Now, locals Mick and Kylie Carr will continue to grow biodynamic, nutrient dense, quality persimmons and stone fruit.
Over the last 8 years Heinz has started Holistic Farming Pty Ltd and is coaching and consulting quite a few farms from small crop, horticulture, broadacre, cattle and dairy. This will now be his focus and he is looking forward doing agronomy work full time. His focus is helping growers move from chemical agriculture to a more biological, organic and biodynamic paradigm.
As an exclusive Distributor for Organica products for South East QLD (Bundaberg, Maryborough, Gayndah, Kingaroy), he is also able to provide high quality products for a wide variety of cops. All products are organic certified and will work well with the plan for a healthier farm and environment.
The new owners, Mick and Kylie Carr, are committed to continue to grow biological, biodynamic, nutrient dense quality persimmons and stone fruit.
