VITAMINIS action

Aldi Suisse committed to a balanced diet

After the beverage packaging recycling action, ALDI SUISSE now focuses on a balanced diet. The discount supermarket in Switzerland promotes a balanced diet for children with several actions and at the same time, ALDI SUISSE supports UNICEF nutrition programs.

ALDI SUISSE has put together VITAMINIS packs to support the importance and appreciation of a balanced diet and good food. The packs contain fruit and vegetables with a discovery workbook and the VITAMINIS cuddly toys. They are available for primary schools, kindergartens and day-care centers, while the stocks last. The packs are free of charge and can be used according to the motto: experiencing, learning, tasting and valuing. The workbook is developed together with the professional support of the Swiss Society for Nutrition SGE and UNICEF Switzerland. In a playful and fun way children discover what vitamins are all about.

The sweet cuddly toys are shaped like popular fruit and vegetables and support the educational theme nutrition and diet. ALDI SUISSE customers contributed to the idea to raise the children's awareness following the successful launch of the VITAMINIS campaign last year. “We received many requests of teachers who wanted to use the figures in the classroom,” states Steven Loepfe, spokesperson for ALDI SUISSE.

A large selection of fresh fruits and vegetables
In the last few months ALDI SUISSE has steadily expanded their range of fruit and vegetables in order to provide the possibility of a varied and balanced diet. The assortment includes about 90 fresh products and for the most part the fruit and vegetables come from local farms.
