The twelfth Honey Pomelo Festival opened on October 17 in Pinghe, Zhangzhou. The event will last two days, followed by a month of honey pomelo promotion. During this year's festival, a number of foreign and domestic companies signed up to buy a total of 300,000 tons of honey pomelos. 10 enterprises also signed up to projects with local enterprises, totalling a healthy 2.46 billion RMB. Another 10 enterprises signed contracts with distribution enterprises such as online shops and post services for a total sum of 66.8 million RMB. Moreover, Sanlv Fruit and Vegetable, from Pinghe county, signed a contract with a Russian trading company for the import of 3000 tons of honey pomelos. This allows a large number of quality honey pomelos to reach Russia.
