Marien Sinke, Exsa Europe:

"Positive end to Greek grape season"

A period of extremely hot weather and later another with lots of rain caused the early closure of the Greek grape season of Exsa Europe. “Despite these circumstances, we can be satisfied about the rest of the season,” says Marien Sinke. “This season started very well, but the grape quality deteriorated a little due to rain later on in the season. This resulted in an early harvest for the grapes.”

Even though the season was a little bit shorter than usual, Exsa Europe managed to bring its grapes on the market successfully. “Our premium selection ‘Exsa Gold’ has been produced more than usual. The Exsa Gold grapes, which are packed in paper bags, are sold more and more on the market. The prices are a bit more stable than last year,” says Marien. “We are very happy with our strong partners with whom we work together in Greece. This has been the third year in which we are packing grapes for our own label Exsa, and every year this continues to grow.”

Film clip
To inform the clients and consumers in a better way, Exsa Europe has produced a film clip in Greece. “We want to show the source where all the magic happens, to show the process from A to Z, this is only possible by creating a beautiful film clip. This clip is part of the ‘Exsa meets the grower concept’. In this clip, Exsa shows a look behind the scenes of her own, all year round, production and dedicated partners,” says Marien.
