Launch of China's largest smart strawberry greenhouse

The Tongchuan Haisheng, Modern Smart Glass Greenhouse, Strawberry Cultivation Project is located in Yaozhou. It unifies advanced technological procedures, a temperature control system, an accurate water and fertiliser circulation system and 3D volume cultivation. The project brought in strawberry species from Japan and South-Korea and initiated a complete production chain operation. It introduces a strawberry cultivation facility that is green, intensive and modern. It has become the characteristic industry in the transformational, economic development of the Tongchuan district.

China's newest glass greenhouse makes it possible to fully provide the plants with 'heat, light, water, air and fertiliser', in an optimal environment. The 50,000 square meter structure is China's largest smart greenhouse. It lets through 97% of the sunlight, which is 12% more than glass greenhouses with a traditional structure. Every 1% of extra light increases production to the same degree. 

An accurate water and fertiliser circulation system
The project uses the most advanced Dutch PB irrigation system. The plants' nutritional intake consistency is kept at above 95%. At the same time, we save 60% of the fertiliser and 90% of the water. The waste irrigation water and fertiliser are sterilised with UV nd a decomposition treatment. After that, the waste product is recycled, so there is no actual waste or pollution.


Smart temperature control
The project also uses the most advanced temperature control system. With sensors in the greenhouse, the temperature can be lowered at any time and humidity information is relayed to the system. This allows for an accurate adjustment of temperature and humidity. As a result, the temperature variation in the greenhouse is never more than 1%.

3D cultivation technique
The greenhouse uses a base solvent 3D structure for cultivation. This saves 75% of the soil. It also prevents diseases from spreading over the ground and guarantees an optimal water and fertiliser supply. It makes the plants stronger and more resilient against diseases. At the same time, it also combines advanced prevention technology against other organisms. So the greenhouse also uses very little in the way of pesticides. 


Priva plant internet control system
The greenhouse makes use of advanced internet control system and installations by Priva. It combines environmental control, logistics and labour in a smart management technology.

At present the company has arranged strategic cooperation with all research organisations, service suppliers and both foreign and domestic universities that possess the advanced technology. The cooperation includes technical guidance, machinery research and development, industry planning, seedling supply, exchange of experts and others. Tongchuan Haisheng Qianmu high standard dwarf apple trees, cherry orchards and the 50,000 square meters of modern greenhouse all employ many people from the neighbourhood. 

The project is currently operational and strawberries are already growing and will be ready for harvest in November.
