Buddy Fruits to reveal FruitTubes for kids at PMA

As the Fresh Summit show looms, Buddy Fruits is getting ready to exhibit its products. “We’ve been exhibiting our products at PMA’s Fresh Summit every year since our company started back in 2009,” said Dan Connors, vice president of marketing and communications. “This year, we’ll be showcasing new and exciting ways to merchandise our 100 percent blended fruit pouches (some veggie pouches as well)!

“We have new displays specifically designed for produce and some exciting new cross-promotions with Buddy Fruits and fresh bananas. Plus, we’re revealing our latest 100 percent fruit innovation: FruitTubes.”

“Yes, our latest produce offering is FruitTubes, which is a fruit puree in widely popular tube packaging that kids and moms appreciate. These were designed specifically with lunch boxes in mind. Consumers can freeze them, helping keep other lunch box essentials cool. Or they can store them on a kitchen shelf. Kids will love the perforated tab, which makes opening them easy. The tube shape ensures that the snacks aren’t wasted or taken back home after school. We’re launching FruitTubes in three fruit flavors,” Connors pointed out.

“Apples are the main ingredient in all of our fruit purees. These are locally sourced from family-owned orchards, many located within 200 miles of our factory, which is located in the Virginia foothills. Over the years, we’ve partnered with the orchards, helping to ensure that we receive only the best fruit—USDA certified Organic apples. Next, we hand-select only the best fruits. Any fruit we receive that doesn’t make the cut is sent to local farms to be given to livestock or used as compost,” finished Connors. For more information:
