As part of the launch of the eighth edition of the Fair Expoalimentaria, the Exporters Association (ADEX) stated that the North Macro region had invoiced 1,110.6 million dollars in food exports between January and July this year.

The exporters of Cajamarca, Lambayeque, La Libertad, Piura and Tumbes exported avocados, mangoes, bananas, squid, canned asparagus, fresh asparagus, red pepper canned, canned mango, blueberries, and passion fruit juice, among others.

Between January and July, the North Macro Region exported its food products to 51 different markets, such as the US (316 million dollars), the Netherlands (US 178 million), Spain (125 million), Ecuador (81 million) and South Korea (44 million dollars).

The exporters of this region will seek to increase and expand their exportable supply during their participation in Expoalimentaria, which will be held between September 26 and 28 in Lima.

At the fair, the exporters will have an opportunity to contact representatives of supermarkets, retailers, wholesalers, importers, traders, and suppliers of food from five continents.

These will include the Eastland Food Corporation, HLV Specialties, BJ's Wholesale Club and Samba (United States), Tesco PLC (United Kingdom), Geant Hypermarket (Emirates Arab United), Spar-Freshline (South Africa), Casino (France), Unisuper (Guatemala), Cencosud (Chile) and El Competidor (Ecuador).
