China: Qingyang restaurant produces own vegetables

According to a report in the Abbao newspaper, a hotel in central China has started to grow its own vegetables in order to be able to offer its clients safe produce. In addition, the vegetable garden is becoming an attraction for visitors staying at the hotel

The assistant manager of the Lianfeng Cloud Sea Scenic Area, Mr. Bai Feng, gives an explanation. More than just providing an elegant scenery, the safety assurance of the restaurant's food products is what really drives the project. Reports say that the scenic area opened a 0.6 hectare vegetable cultivation ground in 2014, thereby adding the scenic area to the department of agriculture. The area is responsible for the management of cultivation, fertilising, agricultural chemicals and others in a professional manner.
