Seasonal fruit and vegetables sold online by Seasoneat

It seems like the online sales of seasonal fruit and vegetables have started well for "Seasoneat".

"At the moment we are only delivering on a local level (Forlì-Cesena, Ravenna and Rimini), but we would like to include Bologna in the near future," explains business partner Enrico Gasperini.

Ordering online is very easy, just visit www.seasoneat.it and choose one of the three options available - small €18 crate (4 kg), medium €22 crate (6 kg) or big €26 crate (8 kg). On 30th August, the small crate contained aubergines, courgettes, tomatoes, spinach, pears, grapes and figs. On the form, you can indicate up to two products you do not wish to receive, which will be replaced with a larger quantity of the others.

The medium crate also had fennel and a melon, while the biggest one had peppers. "We received fewer orders in August, as people were on holiday. In addition, many don't need our produce in summer since they have their own vegetable plot."

There is a sort of weekly subscription, though it is not binding. The service supplies only seasonal fruit and vegetables produced by fewer than ten producers in the Romagna area. Customers receive their crate once a week and can indicate their preferred day and time of day for delivery.

"We are also looking into a base where customers can come and collect their crate at a discount, but that is still just hypothetical."
