Stolen pallets of citrus found again
The largest part of the citrus stolen from Europe Retail Packing has been found again. On Tuesday evening, 22 pallets of oranges, three pallets of tangerines, 12 pallets of lemons and four pallets of limes were stolen from the warehouse of the Barendrecht branch. “Of the 42 stolen pallets we are only missing four which have already been sold,” says Menno Reijgersberg. He has also spoken to the receiver of the goods, who bought the products from the thieves in question. The police are now searching for the identities of the thieves.
“The pallets of citrus were found thanks to a golden tip. I am enormously grateful to the informer, and will send them a large gift. I also want to thank everyone for sharing the messages on social media, this really showed how important social media is, and how important it is to have people work along with us to exclude such people from our sector.”
The pallets of citrus were returned to their rightful owners yesterday afternoon.
