On June 22nd, Nanning Dragonfruit Standardization System, or 2016 Dragonfruits Plantation & Sales Intergration Summit was initiated. This event is co-organized by Nanning city People's government, China Fruit Marketing Association and the pioneer in the fresh produce industry-- Tianmao fresh produce, and the objective is to promote the dragonfruit standardization system and announce the establishment of dragonfruit innovation alliance. During these events a series of meetings and discussions were held among industrial experts, dragonfruits plantation and promotion enterprises, representatives regarding the dragonfruits plantation and sales trends.
Currently the dragonfruits plantation area reaches 4,667 hectares, and it is estimated that its yields in 2016 will be over 100,000 tons. Meanwhile, dragonfruits processed products have been distributed in the market, while dragon fruit garden visits, fruit picking and related eco tourism will be on the rise. Without any doubt dragonfruits are now becoming the name card for Nanning fruit industry.
