The cultivation and marketing of stonefruit will be the focus of a seminar of the SBB in South Tyrol in July.
The professional cultivation of cherries and apricots can be an attractive financial opportunity. The aim of the seminar is to provide participants with detailed information on the cultivation conditions and marketing possibilities of these two cultures in South Tyrol.

Massimo Zago, stonefruit expert of the test center Laimburg, will talk about the cultivation conditions at the start of the seminar. Followed by Lukas Unterhofer, of the South Tyrol farmers association (SBB), who will talk about the various marketing possibilities of cherries and apricots. And after the lunch break the participants will visit a vineyard as well as apricot and a cherry orchard, accompanied by experts from the South Tyrolean Advisory Board.
The seminar cultivation and marketing of stonefruit will take place on Monday the 18th of July. The SBB trainings department organizes it, in cooperation with the SBB Innovation & Energy department. The theoretical part will take place in the SBB office in Lana in the morning (9am to 13pm). The afternoon excursion takes participants to Vinschgau.
