Cooperation agreement signed by Citronex and Wroclaw University
The Wroclaw University of Environmental and Life Sciences and the company Citronex have signed a cooperation agreement. Students will have a place to practice, and one of the biggest Polish producers of horticultural products will gain a scientific partner, announced the University on its website.
The Citronex Group employs over 1,000 people and is successful on both the national and international markets in the sectors of logistics, the import of bananas, the production and distribution of tomatoes, transportation and shipping, car wash and service trucks, gas stations, hotels, restaurants and supermarkets. The company owns PPO Siechnice and massive greenhouse facilities in the area of Bogatynia.
The Dean of the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Technology, professor Adam Shevchuk, and professor Catherine Adamczewska-Sowińska, from the Department of Horticulture, stressed that the agreement will make it possible for the university to conduct experimental work at a station in Psary.
"Similarly, our greenhouses in Siechnice will host an innovative area devoted to research. We want Siechnice to become a major research centre from which to transfer the best practices to our facilities in Bogatynia," comments the CEO of Citronex, Artur Toronowski.
