“Extra packaging line makes us flexible for quick onion orders”

Onion sorting and packaging station Franje Onions from Waarde has expanded its machines with a new packaging line. “At the end of last year we bought the machine on Wednesday we ran it independently for the first time,” Jan Franje says.

He is delighted with the investment. “With this second line we will be able to process larger volumes, and a separate line makes us much more flexible for quick orders. For organic onions especially that is a large advantage. People often call in the order and suddenly they will be at your door. This line makes us flexible.”

The new line consists of a 16-tray multi-scaler with the fully automatic packaging system Baxmatic from ERC. It concerns a Baxmatic with a capacity of more than 1,000 bags an hour. The round head combination scaler with 16 trays guarantees a large processing capacity and accuracy. Once again Franje opted for a stacker from Symach.
