Mann Packing announced the hiring of Greg Villalobos to the position of account executive and the promotion of Cody Ramsey and Rick Russo to the newly created positions of director of foodservice sales and executive vice president of sales & marketing, respectively.
Villalobos brings extensive sales and product management experience to the role of account executive. He has more than 20 years of produce sales experience in the Salinas Valley and has worked for Boskovich Farms, NewStar, Earthbound Farm, Cimino Brothers Produce and most recently with Dole Fresh Vegetables. Villalobos will work in an inside sales capacity, securing new business, maintaining customer relationships, and providing ongoing support for current clients.
Ramsey has been promoted to the role of director of foodservice sales. He previously held the position of account executive and has been with the company for over 10 years. Ramsey brings a high level of experience in both production and sales, and has recently grown his leadership skills with involvement in Leadership Salinas Valley and with the Salinas Valley Chamber of Commerce, where he serves on the board of directors.
Ramsey will report to Rick Russo, who said, “I feel Cody’s industry expertise and ability to build meaningful relationships will translate nicely to the foodservice side of our business. It is a natural progression that Cody assumes this role, and I know he will tackle it with great energy and continue to be a fantastic ambassador for Mann’s within the industry.”
Russo will assume the newly created role of executive vice president of sales & marketing. He previously held the position of vice president of foodservice sales. In this role, he will be responsible for establishing important sales objectives for all market channels and develop strategic plans to promote growth for the company. Jeff Freeman remains the vice president of retail sales and reports to Russo, along with Ramsey.
