New onion peelers in production in South Germany

Tre-F BV and Finis BV supplied two onion-peeling machines to a major producer in South Germany. For many companies in the food industry the peeling of onions is a real burden. Onions have to be peeled in a precise, quick, clean and accurate way. Modern and innovative technology is necessary to peel large quantities and fulfil these requirements. These precision onion-peeling machines try to meet these requirements.

Finis BV offers companies who process onions a tailor-made solution, regardless of the variety or the size of the onion, and regardless if they need to be peeled, cut, and centrifuged. 

At the end of 2015 Finis BV delivered two fully automated onion-peeling machines to a major producer in South Germany. These machines are equipped with complete cutting facilities and centrifugation plant, which can produce approximately 2-3 metric tons of peeled or chopped onions per hour.

It is the second time that this German producer of peeled onions has choosen Finis BV. The machines started producing in the beginning of this year. The powerful onion peelers are among the most important technical features of the completely new facilities.

The newly bought installation can handle several products, and is featured with cameras that align about 22,000 onions per hour before they are automatically peeled.
