Visit to Bonduelle Kuban
Russia: ''Canning industry- most profitable''
On March 9, Governor of the Krasnodar Territory, Benjamin Kondratev visited the Boduelle Kuban factory in the Novotitarovskaya Dinskaya district, after which he held a round table with the heads of canning factories in the district.
During his visit to the company, the governor inspected the production of the cans, the packing and the storing of products.
''Canning production should be a certain stimulus and point of growth for the countryside,'' said Kondratev. ''Farmers need a market. Retail chains are for seasonal sales, but a cannery means permanent work. The canning industry is the most profitable today."
The agro-complex Bonduelle Kuban, also includes the company Bonduelle Kuban in Novotitarovskaya and Kuban Conserves in Timashevsk. The company is responsible for providing 30 percent of canned vegetables to the Russian market and is the segment leader in the country. The total production capacity of the two factories is around 220 million cans per year.
