Decrease in Yunnan garlic
"Currently, 90% of our garlic yields are exported to Japan and European countries. The other 10% is sold in domestic markets. In the future, we want to increase our sales on the domestic market. This year, garlic cultivation in Yunnan province has decreased. We expect demand to remain stable or increase and as a result demand will increase. We believe the coming season is of great importance to us.

Yunnan garlic is different to garlic from Shandong province. Yunnan garlic matures earlier. It can be found on the market as early as December, thanks to Yunnan's unique geographical environment, climate and soil conditions.
It is one of the few regions in the world that produces garlic during this period. Garlic from Shandong province is available from May onward. In addition, Yunnan garlic has a stronger taste and contains much higher shares of garlic oil and allicin than Shangdong garlic.
