Under normal weather conditions, the estimated listing time for bananas will be from July to December. However, this year the banana yield and listing time will change a lot, as bananas which suffered from the cold wave will be flooded to the market during November and December, while the bananas which avoided the cold wave will be shipped to all the markets between July and September. Another factor to notice is that other key banana growing regions in China also suffered from bad weather conditions, which will postpone the listing time of bananas from their region.. For example, Guangdong province got hit by cold waves while Hainan province was affected by frost before the Spring Festival season. Therefore, it is very important to pay attention to the listing time of bananas to get a competitive selling position in the market.
