First Chinese domestic cherry crop to arrive end of March

“We expect our first cherry crop towards the end of March. We are inspired to grow import variety cherries in China. Our advantage is that our crop is one of the earliest to be available in China,” says Faraz Maani, the managing director of Praxis Agricultural.

“We are able to produce an early crop thanks to a combination of innovative technology and Dali's favourable, warm and wet, weather conditions. Our cherries are averaging 20-24° brix and sizes range from 28 to 34mm. All are grown pesticide free and are available for next day delivery within China.”

"We're delighted to offer top quality cherries beginning around the end of March, though colder weather this year may present some delays. Our cherries are among the earliest produced in the northern hemisphere, and limited quantities are available for sale in China." Plans are under way to expand production over the coming years.

"We pack our cherries under the SOL brand in premium gift packages and smaller plastic punnets. Sales targets include high-end retailers, pre-sales for company awards or gift programmes, and specialised online shops. We will also launch sales on Wechat."

SOL cherries are packed in assorted varieties, red, gold and dark, allowing consumers to taste different flavours from a single pack.
