FreshView launch EC12 Ripening Controller at Fruit Logistica

After attending Asia Fruit Logistica 2015 in
Hong Kong as a visitor, Pacific Data Systems’
General Manager, Paul Gapes, knew that the
2016 event to be held in Berlin Germany was
the perfect platform from which to officially
launch their latest product, the FreshView EC12
Ripening Controller.

Utilising the latest proven technology to monitor, control, ripen, degreen, and store fruit and other perishable commodities, the FreshView EC12 Ripening Controller system allows for the measurement and control of multiple parameters across multiple ripening rooms.

The modular industrial design of the EC12 system ensures simple installation and provides greater flexibility when meeting the ever-expanding operational demands encountered by any small, medium or large fruit handling organisation.

As well as being a fully automated system, a high priority during the design process was to ensure that the information provided to the client would be both easily understood and easily accessible. A simple touch-screen display provides the end-user with the ability to access current system status, historical data and/or set-point adjustment for single, or multiple, ripening rooms at any one time.
"The EC12 can also be switched instantaneously to show the information in a graphical format that allows the operator to clearly see what the individual parameter trends are within each ripening room," says Paul.

Being simple and intuitive to use, Paul says the FreshView EC12 Ripening Controller system has been imbued with features to ensure secure operations locally or remotely via the Internet.

“Multiple password entry restricts access to various functions of the EC12. In addition, the system records each and every time a change is made to operational parameters which ultimately provides traceability and drives accountability.” says Paul.

Using a smartphone, or desktop, laptop, or tablet PC, further monitoring and control is also available from anywhere in the world via a remote web portal (3G/4G/LAN access required). With a unique customer code, username and password login, the end user is provided ‘round-the-clock peace of mind for their valuable produce.

Paul commented “[Hong Kong]…was a good opportunity to present and discuss the EC-12 system to both the end user and organisations involved in fruit ripening. We look forward to assisting any organisation interested in implementing and adopting this technology to improve the handling of their respective commodities and maximising their return on investment. We are encouraged and excited to be introducing the FreshView EC12 Ripening Controller system to fellow exhibitors and visitors at Fruit Logistica 2016”.
