Theo Kamschoer, Kampexport:

"French cauliflower supply normalised after huge amounts"

The cauliflower harvest in Brittany is far ahead of the prediction. Far more cauliflower has been harvested from November than was estimated before hand statistics show. In the weeks 49 to 51 more than 6 million cauliflowers per week were harvested, despite no more than 4 million per week was expected. "We are already harvesting varieties from the end of February," reports Theo Kampschoer.

Due to the large supply, not all cauliflower could be sold in recent weeks, but the exporter expects a normal situation on the cauliflower market again at the end of January. "The supply will be slightly less over the next few weeks. We had very brittle cauliflowers for a few weeks, because they were growing so quickly, but now the quality is back to normal."

Theo left for St. Pol de Leon in 1961 to mainly occupy himself with the export of French fruit and vegetable products. Kampexport exports throughout Europe, including the East Block.
