India: Freshtrop enters fresh-cut with pomegranate arils
Freshtrop setup India’s first dedicated pomegranate juice and concentrate processing plant in 2009 which supplies to some of the most well recognized beverage companies around the world. Now, with the launch of a 52-week supply of Pomegranate Arils packed in MAP trays, Freshtrop has added one more way of delivering the enormous health benefits of this difficult-to-eat fruit to the consumers.
The company supplies the Bhagwa variety, which has arils that are bright red, very tender and juicy. The packs available right now are the consumer focused 100 to 150 grams as well as food-service oriented 500 to 700 grams trays. They also provide a private label for some of their customers. The production setup complies with the most stringent norms of hygiene and food-safety and has been certified to BRC standards.
