“Chernozem vegetables” a Limited Liability Company, (part of the Stavropol agricultural holding company TK "Eco- Culture”) is planning to build 80 hectares of greenhouses for vegetable growing in the Lipetsk region. Construction of the first phase (11 ha) could begin this autumn, and commissioning is scheduled for 2017. Tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers and aubergines may be grown in the greenhouses. The first phase will allow the collection of around 5-6,000 tons of tomatoes, or 10-12,000 tons of cucumbers, explains “Abireg" (Agency of Business) CEO Ivan Kryhanov.
The district administration of the Khlevensky region in Lipetsk, confirmed the allocation of an area of 110 hectares for development and stated that the volume of investments in the first phase of construction could reach €20m. The deputy head of the district administration Mikhail Korotkikh explained that the company is now waiting for approval for the credit line from Rosselkhozbank.
According to "SPARK- Interfax", LLC “Chernozem vegetables" was registered in May 2012. The company is equally owned by Elena Marin and Andrei Petrenko, who are also co-founders of LLC TK "Eco - Culture." Revenues in 2013 amounted to €4.8m, net profit for the same period was €1.25m. According to the company’s own data, the holding company includes two greenhouse complexes in the Stavropol region on a total area of 30 hectares, as well 2,000 hectares of irrigated open ground where they grow vegetables from the Borscht set (onions, carrots, beetroot, potatoes). In the next two years, the company also plans to build 70 hectares of greenhouses in the Stavropol Territory 2016-2017) and 12 hectares of greenhouses in Vladimir (2016).
