Armenian fruit and vegetable export growth continues

More than 47 thousand tons of fresh fruit and vegetables were exported from Armenia this year, compared to 27,623 tons for the same period of 2014.

20,000 tons of apricots were exported as of July 27 against last year’s total apricot exports of just 1,792, the press service of Agriculture Ministry said.

Cherry exports amounted to 2,038 tons as of yesterday, July 27 compared with just 370 tons in 2014.

2,848 tons of cucumbers have been exported so far (as compared to 53 tons in the same period of 2014) and 9,045 tons of cabbages and cauliflowers (1,492 tons in the same months of 2014).
