Remco de Boer explains vision Sous Fresh:

"Fruit and veg stars of German menu"

At Fruit Logistica, PeDe introduced its new company name Sous Fresh to its relations. A daring move, since the company had been operating in the fresh produce sector under the old name for over 70 years. The supplier to wholesalers, food service companies and gastronomic suppliers doesn't just want to guarantee reliable shipments and first-class products, but also daily inspiration, for instance by informing its clients daily on special products or innovative trends. "So that fruit and vegetables can play the role it deserves, the starring role," director Remco de Boer emphasizes.

Core competencies
"We are Sous Fresh." With these words, Remco de Boer introduced the new name with a new look and a new company vision at an exclusive VIP event on the eve of Fruit Logistica in Berlin, in the presence of seventy guests from the fresh produce sector. Sous Fresh wants to present itself as an inspiring trendsetter. "This relaunch is not a facelift. We want to show that we have a lot more innovations to offer our clients in addition to the excellent products: inspiring products, innovative ideas and individual service. Even more than in the past, we put emphasis on our core competencies and added value."

"With new products, surprising flavours, exciting concepts and creative cooking methods, we want to surprise chefs. With unusual products under the new 'Chefs Inspiration' label, we challenge the creative power of our clients." These could be forgotten vegetables, unknown crops, exotic delicacies, but also regional delights. That way, Sous Fresh becomes the culinary sparring partner for the professional chef, who wants more than just fruit and vegetables. "We want to change proportions on the German menu. In the future, the ratio should be 80% vegetables to just 20% meat or fish. Fruit and vegetables deserve to be the stars!",De Boer clarifies.
