Photo reports from Fruit Logistica

Fruit Logistica 2015 was attended by key decision makers with a record number of exhibitors and trade visitors according the organisation. Dr Christian Göke, CEO of Messe Berlin GmbH: "In addition to its undisputed position as a business platform, this year's Fruit Logistica strengthened its leading role as a platform for innovation for the international fresh produce trade."

From 4 to 6 February, 2,785 exhibitors from 83 countries provided information to 65,000 trade visitors from around 130 countries. Exhibitors and trade visitors praised the excellent opportunities for making contact with wholesalers, retailers, fruit and vegetable growers, importers and exporters.

Although the organisation has reported record visitors, many exhibitors felt there were less. Some exhibitors noticed an absence of Russian and Asian visitors. A possible explanation for this, could be the embargo on fruit and vegetable trade, as for Asian visitors, the up coming Chinese New Year, might be keeping the companies busy. Also the Asia Fruit Logistica is becoming a key exhibition in Asia, so some Asian visitors may prefer that fair compared to the Berlin fair.
