March 8 to 14, 2015

Agri-food and horticulture Trade Mission to Central America

From March 8 to 14, 2015, FME is organizing a trade mission to Central America, on behalf of the Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO). Over 7 days, the mission will visit Nicaragua, Guatemala and Costa Rica. The most important themes during this mission will be horticulture and agri-food.

Many opportunities and favourable investment climate
The largely unused potential of these markets offers opportunities for Dutch know-how and technology in areas such as floriculture, fruit and vegetables. Both trade and supply of technology, starting material, knowledge and services. For Dutch importers, these countries offer interesting investment opportunities in view of the ideal climatological circumstances, the low wages and the Free Trade Agreement between the region and the EU, in force since 2013. For other agri-food sub-sectors, such as potato, cocoa, meat and dairy, Central America is also an interesting region.

Efficient & effective programme to do business fast
By participating in this mission, you'll get the chance to get to know three unique countries and expand your network within a week. Part of the programme is the Agritrade Fair in Guatemala, the largest annual agri-food fair in Central America. In addition, collective (company) visits and individual matchmaking are planned in every country. See the full programme below.

In short, a unique opportunity to discover the opportunities offered by Central America in a week, through a bespoke individual and collective programme.

Interested?
The costs for this mission are € 450 excl. VAT. The costs for travel and accommodation, interpreters and other individual costs are at your own expense. You can register until February 6.
