Unknown benefits from well-known bananas

Bananas contain three types of natural sugars – sucrose, fructose and glucose, which instantaneously energize you. Scientists have proven that the energy from two bananas is sufficient for a 90-minute work-out. No wonder it is one of the most popular fruit among sportsmen. But the energy boost is not the only “perk” of bananas. Bananas can help in solving different health problems, that’s why they should be an integral part of a daily diet.

Depression
Recent studies of mood of young people suffering from depression have shown that eating a banana can uplift their spirit. The secret is tryptophan content in bananas – an amino acid that takes part in production of serotonin – a chemical that is responsible for maintaining mood balance, good humour and cheerfulness.

Premenstrual Syndrome

Forget the pills – eat a banana! Vitamin B6, derived from bananas, stabilizes blood sugar level and balances your mood.

Anaemia
Rich in Iron, bananas contribute to hemoglobin production and help to cure anaemia.

Blood Pressure

This tropical fruit is a great source of Potassium, what makes it an ideal component of a high blood pressure diet.

Brain Activity
200 students of Twickenham School in England ate a banana with every meal while they were taking their exams. The results were excellent. It has been proved that Potassium content in bananas contributes to high performance of brain activity, and consequently helps in studies and maintains mindfulness.

Constipation
Due to its high content of fibre, banana helps to maintain bowels functioning and saves the trouble of taking laxatives.

Heartburn

Bananas have a natural antacid property. If you suffer from heartburn, try and eat bananas.

Toxicosis

Mosquito Bites

Before you rush to find an after-bite the itch eraser, try and rub the bite with the inside of banana skin. It will reduce the itch, irritation and swell.

One of the quickest reliefs for hangovers is a banana milkshake with honey. Banana will soothe the irritated stomach, and together with honey increase the blood sugar level, while milk will reestablish the water balance.

Anxiety

Bananas are rich in B-vitamins, which help to reduce anxiety.

Bananas are recommended for people suffering from digestive tract disorders. Banana is the only raw fruit that does not irritate inner layers, due to its smooth and soft structure.
