FreshERP is an integrated fruit and vegetable package in which purchase, sale, complex import facilities, inventory and consignment management, container management, custom functionality, EDI, quality control, accounting and warehouse management can be combined. Cooperation members such as Jager Holland bv, Cooiman Fruithandel, Del Monte Holland, Fruitpoint, Impala Fruit, Kraaijeveld Groente en Fruit, Lehmann & Troost, SFI Rotterdam, Total Produce and Fyffes now use this module. There are around three hundred people actively using the fruit and vegetable package at the moment.
Suitable for companies with one user
The completion of the renewed package is planned for the third quarter of this year. "The goal is to make this new package accessible for the smaller companies in the fruit and vegetable branch too. This package is already suitable for companies with one employee and the smaller companies are the largest market in this sector. We want the big companies in the top sector to be able to work with it, but also want it to be downscaled for one employee."
FreshERP is made up of a large number of modules that can be turned on and off. This gives every new organisation and user the ability to implement an optimal cohesion and adapt the programming to the wishes of the organisation. "The package is multilingual, so we try to get the package into foreign fruit and vegetable companies through existing customers. There has been interest, mainly from Germany and Russia. But we have agreed with the shareholders of CasWell that they can have the premier," says Wilco.
Domain knowledge
Due to FreshErp's design it is possible to use the package on a laptop, tablet or mobile phone. "This creates a modern and high speed environment where you can always access the most important information," says Wilco. "The advantage is that we are working with the old CasWell team, which has over thirty years experience in the fruit and vegetable sector. If you don't have any knowledge of the domain, you wouldn't stand a chance as a new party. The current suppliers of ERP systems foresee more sectors than just fruit and vegetables. Our focus is fully on the fruit and vegetable sector. The biggest challenge for use is to teach these experiences designers to work with new technologies, as there are no technological barriers."
"Over thirty interested parties have already contacted us. The current packages in the branch are unbelievably expensive and not flexible, which means they need adjusting. The goal of this package is to ensure that the users make money from it and it is as easy as possible to use. The competition also has no reply to demand from small package users. With us, users can take out a contract for as little as 70 Euro per user per month. The entrepreneur is certainly ambitious. "I expect the current number of 300 users to double within a year, and to have a market share of 40% within five years!"
