Belgium's first packaging-free supermarket to open

''Robuust, the Zero Waste Shop'' will open in Anvers at the end of June. It is the first Belgian supermarket 100% packaging-free (and the 5th of its kind in the world).

''The idea is that clients bring their own containers'' explains the projects initiator, Savina Istas. Empty containers are weighed and labelled as they enter the shop, and reweighed once filled at the till. They will sell cloth bags and glass bottles for clients who do not bring their own containers.
