"Exports represent 40% of our turnover and the most popular product at the moment are our salads."
The most popular packed unwashed products are rocket, lamb's lettuce, spinach, corn salad and Oriental salads. As regards the fresh-cut range, mixed salads, rocked and Iceberg lettuce are the strongest.
The fresh-cut range is sold in Italy, whereas the rest is also exported. "Demand in Eastern Europe is growing and in 2013 we also started working with Russia, Lebanon and Qatar."
"We are constantly innovating: we have developed new drying systems as well as others for the processing and packaging of heads. In addition, we are always researching new varieties in order to satisfy even the most demanding clients."
In January 2014 Ortomad launched its new website and its new "Ortomad - a green clad company" claim. "Our new catalogue and our brochure are available to download from our website."
Ortomad will attend Fruit Logistica 2014 (Berlin, 5th-7th Februay), Hall 4.2 - Stand A-09, in the UNOLOMBARDIA PO area. Sole administrator Raffaele Maddalo, foreign sales manager Stefano Cazzador, plant manager Gianluca Boccagna, procurement manager Marzio Mazzeo and sales office managers Domizia Di Feo and Clotario Maddalo will welcome guests.
