"uncertainty and disappointment in coming days"

Who stays or goes at the Greenery?

The reorganization at The Greenery has reached a new stage. This is shown in a message from the Executive Board, which was distributed among the employees yesterday. Interim Managing Director, Okke Koo and CFO Albert Knol report that in late December the management team started the establishment of new units, as shown in the chart below. This shows that the retail and trade departments will be sepateted and that they will be led by Cindy van der Velde and Steven Martina respectively.

"The framework of the functions and responsibilities has now been completed and we are starting with the implementation of this. This means that the positions which will be lost or maintained will be announced in the next few days, new positions will also be created in the reorganisation. Positions available will be published from January 10 on Green Site and notice boards. All employees, including those made redundant can apply. In a situation of equally suitable employees, those made redundant will have priority," write Koo and Knol.

"The next few days will sadly be marked by uncertainty and disappointment. Understanding and compassion for colleagues that will leave goes without saying. For others, the new organization will provide new opportunities. With them we can build a healthy and growing business in 2014," concludes the executive board.

Sources report that the reorganization will also lead to various activities being moved. Thus, the trade division would possibly be temporarily moved to Bleiswijk and the auction sales would fall under this division. The spokesman for The Greenery will not go into specific details of the reorganization, until all employees have been informed.
