Tong Peal to reveal 2014 range of machines
Tong Peal will be present in Hall 4.1 on Stand C-01 at Europe’s leading fresh fruit and vegetable event, which takes place in Berlin, Germany, between 5th-7th February.
Visitors to the show will have the chance to talk to the Tong Peal team about its latest range of specialist fruit and vegetable handling equipment, including the revolutionary new Tong Peal Revolver Box Tipper. Designed with efficiency, reliability, gentle handling and ease of maintenance in mind, the innovative tipping system offers growers and packers an unbeatable handling solution that saves both time and money.
Fully adjustable and customisable to meet exact user requirements, the Revolver Box Tipper uses the latest technology to achieve throughput figures of up to 40 tonnes per hour. Based on an innovative patent pending design, instead of a traditional pivot tipping action, Tong Peal’s new Revolver box tipper tips boxes with a unique forward rolling motion, to very gently yet fully empty crop.
The unique design significantly reduces forklift movement and labour requirements by allowing a continuous load/unload process. Full boxes are loaded into the bottom of the unit, before being automatically raised into the forward rolling tipping cradle. The lifting mechanism then returns to its original position, allowing another full box to be loaded. This increases throughput potential and helps to meet packhouse health and safety guidelines by keeping full boxes at lower levels.
Alongside the Revolver Box Tipper, Tong Peal has recently launched a number of innovative new crop processing products into its 2014 range of handling and equipment, including the virtually maintenance-free TPS-Pro Polisher.
What makes the TPS-Pro Polisher different to those currently available on the market is that it has electric direct drive motors INSIDE every shaft. These unique internally-sealed motors, which are completely contained in their own high temperature resistant, food-grade oil baths, mean there are no external bearing, drive or motor arrangements which are normally exposed to the elements associated with polishing.
Manufactured in a 14-brush model featuring a 3m long x 800mm barrel, as well as an 18-brush model featuring a 3m long x 1050mm barrel, the TPS-Pro Polisher provides outputs of between 15-30 tonnes per hour.
