The company managers explain that, "we have recorded a 20% increase with respect to last year, mainly due to the excellent quality of Victoria. Prices are on average 10% higher than last year. The excellent quality of grapes is striking, and is due to a good climate during blossoming which lasted until now, apart for a few small storms."
The German and the Scandinavian (Sweden and Finland in particular) markets are driving the sales. "We hope that this positive trend will continue throughout August as clients, especially in Scandinavia, prefer Victoria grapes to the Italia variety."

The campaign for seedless grapes is similar, as it also started well. Now however, it is being affected by Spanish grapes, as they also have a very good quality.
"The best period for Italian seedless grapes is from August to mid December. We as a company can supply the following varieties: Superior, Vitro Black (currently available), Summer Royal, Autumn Royal and Crimson (later on). As regards grapes with seeds, in addition to Victoria and Palieri, we will start with Italia and Red Globe in 20 days' time, which will take us to the end of the season around Christmas 2013."
