The outdoor vegetable market has become crazy at the moment due to large supplies. "After a cold spring, everything is coming all at once, but luckily the sales for iceberg lettuce is already picking up a bit from last week," says Lex. "For example, there has been a lot more demand coming from Italy. We really need that demand because the volumes are not going to decrease and once Eastern Europe starts producing, a portion of the market will fall away. We are very focussed on countries such as the United Kingdom, Italy and Russia."
